The EView, Day 1
Day 1 took us from my hometown (or city, rather) of Pasadena, CA, to this motel room in Lake Havasu, AZ. Today we have been amazed by expanses of stark desert - where there was literally no civilization around; by very strong and warm winds; by the fact that the temperature at night in the desert is quite enjoyable; and also, that there is fairly delicious thai food in Arizona...who knew! Accompanying our drive (thanks to Adrian's and Jake's iPods) were the Beach Boys, Cake, Mr. Scruff, the Kill Bill soundtrack, and the Allman Brothers, just to name a few. We finished our evening by enjoying a beer popular on this coast (which comes from Fort Collins CO, says the bar tender): Fat Tyre. This is a summary of my view - now I'll turn it over to Jake. Good night from the Grand Canyon State!
